Organisers are now gearing up for the town's 2nd gay pride in Burnley, The B U Foundation this year are planning a bigger and better event in the heart of the town centre.

Saturday 5th August 2017 from 8:00am till Sunday  8:00am will see the kick start of Burnley Pride, the day will start with Market Stalls and Expo, from 2:00pm live singing will take place at Craft Burnley on Manchester Road, Burnley BB11 1HH. The live singers include The Voice UK Cody Frost, X Factor Sami Brookes, Lee Lambert and Burlesque dancer Danny Daire, from midnight will see a party club take place till 8:00am.

The organisers hope that the communities in Burnley and further afield will come along and support the team on the day, those interested in taking a stall at Burnley Pride are asked to visit www.burnleypride.co.uk for more information. Simon Clark said “ we are so excited for this year gay pride, we are wanting to make it colourful and bright and a weekend for people to remember, we are grateful to Burnley Council, 24 Hour Security Solutions and Craft Burnley for their support this year. Without the support we would not be able to host this event”

Further plans for the weekend are still to be confirmed, organisers are confided the weekend will be a huge success, if any organisations or member of public would like to offer assistance to Burnley Pride are asked to contact The B U Foundation. The team will release further details on the lead up to the weekend confirming what is on and what people can expect.

On Friday 24th February a charity launch event will taken place at Craft Burnley from 8:00pm for The B U Foundation, the event is hosted by International Female Impersonator Roxy Rivers.

Enjoy an evening with music, bubbles on arrival and charity raffles were you can win cash prizes, the night is to raise awareness for LGBT people in the borough to access services. On the night their will be various publications that members of the pubic can take away, we extend the invitation to everyone regardless of sexuality, gender, race, disability. Entry on the evening is just £2 and all the monies raised will go to The B U Foundation.

Simon Clark Trustee of The B U Foundation said “ We are really excited for the evening and hope to raise some important funds for the foundation”.
